Control of Spodoptera frugiperda on Fresh Corn via Pesticide Application before Transplanting

چکیده

Background: Pesticide application before transplanting crops has been widely used in rice as an economical and effective method for reducing the use of chemical pesticides. This study focused on feasibility pesticides a fresh corn nursery to control Spodoptera frugiperda. Methods: Three pesticides, including 35% Chlorantraniliprole WDG, 6% Spinetoram SC, 3% Emamectin Benzoate combined with Polyorganosilicon (HTY-A8) or special flight additives (MF) synergists were their toxicity was determined larvae S. frugiperda feeding sweet third leaf stage treated 5 25 times conventional field concentration. The best combinations tested field. results showed that exhibited high sensitivity three period pest validity WDG SC about 20 days, while much shorter. active component content leaves significantly higher than Spinetoram. effects promoted by HTY-A8 MF. experiment effect could last 17 days spraying at concentration transplanting, Furthermore, this reduce amount ingredient 4/5 3/4 found single spray seed coating treatment, respectively. Conclusions: puts forward new effectively seedling corn.

Geographic Variation in Sexual Attraction of Spodoptera frugiperda Corn- and Rice-Strain Males to Pheromone Lures

The corn- and rice-strains of Spodoptera frugiperda exhibit several genetic and behavioral differences and appear to be undergoing ecological speciation in sympatry. Previous studies reported conflicting results when investigating male attraction to pheromone lures in different regions, but this could have been due to inter-strain and/or geographic differences. Therefore, we investigated whethe...

Haplotype identification within Spodoptera frugiperda (J.E. Smith) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) corn and rice strains from Colombia.

The fall army worm Spodoptera frugiperda (Smith) is a migratory important pest of corn, sorghum, rice, grass and bermudagrass in North and South America. This species has diverged into two genetically differentiated but morphologically identical strains, "the rice" and "the corn". They have been analyzed by sequencing the genes cytochrome oxydase I, II and ITS1 from populations from the United ...

Insecticidal activity of synthetic amides on Spodoptera frugiperda.

The phytochemistry of the genus Piper (Piperaceae) has been widely studied due to the biological properties of amides from these plants. In this work, we have synthesized and evaluated the toxic effect of 11 amides against the fall armyworm Spodoptera frugiperda larvae. The naturally occurring piperine was also evaluated. The most active amide was N-[3-(3',4'-methylenedioxyphenyl)-2-(E)-propeno...

Expression of ricin B chain in Spodoptera frugiperda.

DNA encoding ricin B chain was derived from preproricin genomic DNA and ligated into the baculovirus transfer vector, pAcGP67A. Co-transfection of Spodoptera frugiperda Sf9 cells with BaculoGold DNA was followed by limiting dilution purification of recombinant baculovirus. Infection of SF9 cells at a multiplicity of infection of 1 in the presence of 25 mM lactose produced 3 mg/l of soluble, gly...
